Booking Conditions & Terms

Please read the following carefully before booking your tour with Walking Tanzania.

Booking Conditions

WALKING TANZANIA reserves the following rights to alter the route in the itinerary should conditions necessitate for the good of the client, To subcontract all or part of the agreed tour; to replace a faulty vehicle and compensate hours lost by extra safari hours or days.

Vehicles: Four Wheel Drive (4WD), Land Rovers, and Toyota Land Cruisers—all safari built. Maximum number of passengers: 5 per car.

Payments: Bankers cheques, Travelers cheques, and any convertible currency are accepted.

Reservations and Cancellations

A 20% non-refundable deposit is required at the time of booking, with the balance to be paid at least 60 days before the tour begins. For last-minute reservations, conditions may change.

Cancellations

Prior to tour departure, for cancellations received in writing:

  • From booking to 30 days prior: 30% of tour cost
  • 29 - 15 days prior: 50% of tour cost
  • 14 - 7 days prior: 75% of tour cost
  • 6 days or less prior, or no-show: 100% of tour cost

There are no refunds for unused portions of the program, and refunds will not be made to clients who do not complete the tour for any reason. Amendments made to the itinerary once paid for may result in additional costs.

Alterations of Tours

The right is reserved to change any arrangements should conditions so necessitate.

Insurance

These are adventure safaris with certain inherent dangers and risks. While every care is taken for safety and comfort, the company accepts no liability for:

  • Damage or loss of client property
  • Sickness, infection, injury, or death
  • Change of itinerary due to road or weather conditions
  • Delays in departure or arrival, including missed connections
  • War or other calamities occurring during the safari

We strongly recommend a Travel Protection Plan to cover cancellations or unexpected events. Ask your travel counselor about it at the time of booking.

Liability

The company and its agents act only as agents in all matters relating to tours. Liability is governed by the respective laws of the country and all claims.
